Back on top of the league!

Barça are back on top of the Liga table! The 1-0 defeat of Real Sociedad on Saturday, decided from the penalty spot by Leo Messi, had temporarily regained the lead after losing the Clásico the week before, but Real Madrid still had their game with Betis to come.

However, a goal eight minutes from time by former Barça man Cristian Tello secured a 2-1 victory for the green-and-whites at the Benito Villamarín and with just eleven games left to play, Barça are once again two points clear at the top.

A pulsating run-in to the end of the season awaits, with Real Madrid next to play, at home to Eibar on Friday at 9.00pm CET. Barça will be playing at the same time as they did this weekend, but this time away from home (Saturday 6.30pm CET) to relegation-threatened Mallorca.
